Speaker: Jaap-Willem Sjoukema (Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment)
As masterstudent Jaap-Willem asked the question if we could use volunteered geographic information (VGI) to keep the Dutch large-scale topographic map up-to-date. To his surprise not only the map users, but also the local governments were excited about this idea. At this moment an easy-to-use map feedback system, based on opensource software, is in development at the Dutch Cadastre. Jaap-Willem is the product owner of this system. And other open geodatasets are momentarily queuing to get the same system.
