Speaker: Jonas Eberle (University of Jena, Department for Earth Observation)
Jonas Eberle works in the geospatial domain as research assistant since 2008 at the Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena (Germany), Department for Earth Observation. He is involved in currently running EU-H2020 projects and responsible for spatial data infrastructures and operational process chaining for Earth Observation time-series data. He is self-employed since 2008 as software developer for web-based systems and mobile devices and holds a M.Sc. in Geoinformatics with focus on Earth Observation from the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany (2011), and a B.Sc. in Applied Informatics from the University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen, Hoexter, Germany (2007). Jonas is an expert in web-based information systems, spatial data processing and data handling based on open-source software and open geospatial standards, and developer of geospatial web services, web clients, and mobile apps.
